I like Keurig and it leads the others be a wide margin in sales-so a lot of other people like it too. This is how to make coffee great – fast and easy. I use mine which is a Keurig Elite to make a coffee usually late in the afternoon when I need a quick pickup and don’t want to get out my coffee beans, put them into my burr grinder, grind them and then put them into the bodum and pour in the hot water.
And this is assuming I remembered to turn on the kettle which sometimes I don’t With the Keurig Elite, even if I haven’t turned it on it takes only a few minutes to make a cup. If it’s still on from a previous cup – I am drinking coffee in about 1 minute. The k-cups that this maker uses are a bit ingenious. The filter is inside the cup as is the coffee. So I just wait for a little light to start blinking on the top and I have my choice of a big cup or a little cup – I always choose the little as I like my coffee strong. There’s absolutely no mess unless I am careless and spill the water that goes into the machine and that happens rarely as the water reservoir comes off and I fill it from my Brita Filtration System which I highly recommend. The coffee is really great tasting. My wife and I did a
taste test
and almost all of the k-cups tasted pretty good. Some of them blew me away especially the Newmans Own Extra Bold Fair Trade Certified Organic. I mean I can drink
fair trade coffee
and it’s organic and it tastes great. There are a couple of competitors to Keurig and I do a Senseo Review and look at the Tassimo coffee maker. All in all I can give one cup coffee a resounding thumbs up which actually kind of surprised me.
