Black and Decker Home Cafe. Get one while you still can?
Using coffee pods of different sizes is one of it’s advantages because it has holders for single pods, double pods and for cappuccino pods.
It’s a great single serve coffee maker which can take large 14 ounce mugs when you use the larger pods which is something I can’t do with
K-Cup coffee.
Some K-Cups that I use in my Keurig Elite don’t taste strong enough when I brew more than a six ounce cup but the Home Café seems to fix this problem.
As well, a medium size travel mug can be fitted underneath it which can’t be done with my Keurig where I can only use a standard size mug.
All reviews I’ve read about this brewer are not positive and nowhere as good as what is said about the Keurig, Senseo or Tassimo.
Some reviewers have complained about plastic tasting coffee while others say that the taste is fine as long as you either use all the water quickly or change it if it’s sitting in the reservoir for a long period of time.
This makes sense to me. I wouldn’t want to leave water in any coffee maker for prolonged periods of time with exposure to plastic reservoirs not only for taste reasons but also because I would be concerned for health reasons as well.
