Coffee pods for Senseo
What the heck are these things. Just like Keurig has it’s K-Cups, Tassimo has it’s T-Discs, well Phillips Senseo model has small tea bag like containers sealed off from air and moisture which degrades the pre measured pod coffee containers. Senseos coffee is selected, roasted and packaged for Phillips by the prestigious European coffee company Douwe Egberts which has a 250 year history of providing the world with excellent coffee. A great idea is to purchase a variety pack of 68 pods so you can try them all and find out which ones you like best. Yu can get Hawaiian Kona, Espresso blends (best used with the Espresso Pod Holder and makes a strong espresso coffee complete with the tradional crema finish. There is also medium roast and a Breakfast Blend coffee. Senseo in my opinion has one of the best looking of the single cup coffee makers although Keurig the market leader provides more blends and is more accessible to purchase the K-Cups for it. You can buy them directly from Senseo and even get a subscription and you can also get them at Amazon.com along with other brands of pods that may give you more variety or better price. Senseo is competing head on with Keurig and Tassimo for this fastest growing segment of the 1 cup coffee maker market. My wife and I purchased a Keurig Elite at $99.00 and it seems that the Senseo and Tassimo models are somewhat pricier. We love our Elite but that Senseo would sure look good on a kitchen counter. Even Cuisinart and Breville and other manufactures are starting to use K-Cups. It’s interesting times for how to make coffee great.com.
