Cuisinart coffee makers

Cuisinart coffee makers and coffee grinders - my family's experience.

Over the years, I have had many appliances of this brand with extremely good results.

I can't remember one breaking down. I'm sure they do but mine have been dependable.

In my local appliance store I saw many Cuisinart coffee maker including an interesting looking 4 cup coffee maker but bought one of their Programical Conical Burr Coffee Grinders Model CBM 18C on this trip. If you love coffee you should consider a conical burr because I can tell you it makes a huge difference in the taste of your coffee.

My wife tasted a cup soon after I tried it and immediately commented on how great it tasted. “As good as Starbucks coffee”. High praise indeed at least if you like Starbucks Coffee Company Coffee. The burr doesn't blast the beans to smithereens like a normal blade grinder but really grinds them and it makes a heck of a lot less noise.

I like mine not only because of the taste but because it's so convenient. It holds a half pound of coffee in a plastic container on top of the grinder and keeps it fresh because it's enclosed.

So no more separate cans which then have to be transferred to the grinder and no more measuring the beans. And you can remove the grind chamber with the ground beans and just pour them in your coffee maker.

Big plus. I didn't spill a grind...

I program an LCD on top for the number of cups then turn the dial for the blend I want. For example this morning I programmed it for 4 cups at setting 16 for my French Press. I noticed the grinds were extremely coarse. And my wife's comments showed me it worked well.

It takes the guesswork out of grinding. I can also program it for ultra fine grind for espresso. It has 18 grind settings so you can experiment until you get exactly what you want.

3 year limited warranty shows me they have confidence in it's durability at the manufacturers.

Think I'll go and make another cup...
