Imagine my surprise when I saw my first Keurig Coffee Maker. I was on a business trip and checked into my room. First things first – coffee! The in room coffee machine looked different. Kind of space age – a Star Trek machine! And a number (not enough) of these small sealed cups sort of like cream cups but with coffee inside. My introduction to k cup coffee was these keurig k cups from green mountain coffee k cups including an espresso blend and other assorted blends including some teas. It was the beginning of my love affair with the one cup coffee machine and the hunt for the best one cup coffee pots Some worthy competitors when I researched coffee maker ratings were the Tassimo coffee maker using a T disc coffee pod, and the Phillips Senseo machine which uses coffee pods for senseo. Once I figured it out (I’m not too mechanically inclined) and popped in the little container, pushed down the handle and started it up – one pretty good cup of coffee came out!
Hooked! I was hooked. The K-Cups come in different flavors – drawback – they only work in a Keurig but you don’t have to grind the coffee, no fooling around with messy filters because it’s all contained in the K-Cup. And did I mention fast. You’re drinking it within 30 seconds if the machine is on and no clean up necessary. My wife loves that I went out and bought one so that when she comes home there are no coffee grounds on the counter. I don’t use it all the time but it’s a quick efficient machine that makes good coffee and I love it when I want a fast cup of coffee. Yet another way how to make coffee great! It costs a little more per cup but it’s been crowned King of the single cup coffee makers in our house.
