Single Serve Coffee Pods

Single Serve Coffee Pods, Keurig K-Cup, Tassimo T-Disc. Who’s got the best?

What are they and where where do you get them?

Well a lot of people call all the refills for 1 cup coffee makers by this name.

Senseo by Phillips uses them but other one cup machines like Keurig and Braun’s Tassimo use other types of coffee refills.

Keurig uses K-Cups and many refer to them as Green Mountain K Cups which also is not technically correct – for while Green Mountain Coffee Company owns Keurig they do not own K-Cups which are manufactured by Dietrich.

This may change as Green Mountain is avidly seeking to buy Dietrich and then it’ll own both the Keurig K Cup Coffee Maker and the K-Cups refills that fit into a Keurig.

Tassimo uses T-Discs in its single cup coffee maker.

There are a whole lot of coffee makers now using K-Cup refills in their 1 cup machines – Cuisinart and Breville both use K-Cups.

It’s quite a fight reminiscent of the wars between Sony’s Betamax and VCR which VCR won as we all know but now we use DVDs – and on goes technological progress.

Who knows what we will be using to refill our single cup coffee makers in the future but for now K-Cups are the clear leader with over 100 different blends of coffee and tea.

So we can get pods for Senseo and others.

We can get them for tea.

And we can even save a few bucks by getting them for less and these days that’s not a bad idea.
