Breville coffee maker
This company is now making a 1 cup coffee maker which uses K-Cups. It calls it the BKC700XL Gourmet Single Cup Brewer and either it’s selling so well that it’s out of stock from the Breville website. As of this writing though you can still purchase it new from Amazon.com. Although it’s a very good looking coffee brewer machine and has built in water filtration – the sticker price is a bit steep at $249.99 although it’s cheaper at Amazon. The reviews are four stars average and essentially this machine is pretty close to the Keurig Platinum which is about a hundred bucks cheaper.
It’s stainless steel so it looks better and more solid than the Keurigs and it’s got all the bells and whistles. If the Keurig Platinum is the Cadillac of one cup coffee makers this one is the Mercedes Benz. Charcoal filter built in so no bad taste if your water is bad or heavily chlorinated. LCD display large and easy to read. Quiet! Did I say Quiet! Reviewers did many times. It’s apparently very fast producing a cup in about 20 seconds and like the Keurigs has excellent tasting coffee without any muss or fuss. The filters are built into the K-Cup refills as is the ground coffee so there are no grounds all over the counter when you are done. My wife and I bought a Keurig Elite and it lacks the bells and whistles of the upper end Keurig models and looks a bit like a loser when compared to this Breville. But it only cost me $99 on sale and it makes great coffee. So if you want a really nice looking K-Cup coffee maker and are willing to pay a little extra – well this K Cupper is your best bet! |
Now this Breville Coffee Maker is a LOT better looking than the Platinum and a lot of people who had upgraded from a Keurig commented on how quiet it was.
