Conical burr coffee grinder

Amazing conical burr coffee grinder may be the taste breakthrough of the century.

At least it was for me and my wife. This machine This machine truly made a huge difference in the taste of our coffee. Huge! Immense! Unbelievable and I wish I had known about these machines years ago.

We bought a Cuisinart model burr grinder after considerable thought and chose between a Krup and a Cuisinart.

First off, this type of grinder really brings out the taste of the beans compared to our old Cusinart blade grinder which was a very durable machine and was still working. The blade grinder smashes the beans to smithereens and the burr really grinds them much more gently. Supposedly the blade grinder uses produces too much heat as it blast away at your bean.

The burr has the added advantage of being much more quiet along with other advantages I've outline elsewhere.

It's got a programmable LCD readout which means we grind just as much coffee as we need per cup and we can adjust the grind for the type of coffee – for example fine grind for espresso has 6 different grinds – we just experiment until we find the one that works for us. Same with regular drip and our French Press. That has a very coarse grind.

The taste was an extraordinary improvement on the old blade model. It truly made my coffee taste great. And I mean it really tasted much better.

Frankly, I wasn't expecting this kind of taste but it was there. My wife said it tasted just like Starbucks.

My Cusinart burr was a big investment for a grinder. Cost me a hundred bucks plus tax. The Krup was cheaper but I liked the fact the Cuisinart had a chamber which contains a half pound of beans on top which keeps them fresh – but more importantly less hassle measuring out beans into the grinder.

I had been using my Keurig single cup coffee maker over my French Press in the morning as it's very simple but the taste improvement with the burr has brought me back to the Press.

If you are really interested in how to make your coffee great – I can recommend without hesitation that you get a burr grinder.

The difference is almost unbelievable. It will make a trip to your local coffee shop for a great cup totally redundant. Try one of the conical burr coffee grinders and see!
