Cuisinart 4 cup coffee maker
Cuisinart 4 cup coffee maker DCC-450. Any good? I was up at my favorite appliance store to pick up some K-Cups the other day and as is my wont much to my wife’s dismay stopped to look over the coffee makers.
We or I should say I am in the market for a travel model. I love my coffee and hate using hotel coffee makers with their inferior tasting coffee. There was a neat little 4 cupper that caught my eye. I thought it might be a nice model to take on vacations. It’s got a stainless steel carafe and from all reports it serves coffee quickly and hot.
It’s small enough for travel or for a boat or cottage. It’s got a brew pause and shuts itself off automatically when not in use. It serves up 4 cups which is really just two mugs of coffee but for me and my wife on a trip is just fine. But is it better than buying a Keurig Mini? Well I’m not so sure. Amazon.com gives it 3 stars with many people really loving this little guy while others complained about it which I guess is par for the course. Some complained of leaks and dribbling while others say it’s a small problem, the coffee tastes pretty good for the price and it’s very fast. Overall, I think I’ll probably buy the Keurig Mini but if you want to save a few bucks on both the machine and on the coffee itself (Keurig K-Cups are more expensive than regular coffee) you might want to give it a try. If it’s no good take it back.
