Who hasn’t heard the famous jingle “The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup!" And for 160 years the Folger Company has been fulfilling this promise. Now part of J.M. Smucker Company – Folgers originated in San Francisco in 1850 under James A. Folger. Many of us remember the television ads that made Folger famous. Mrs. Olson, the television neighborhood coffee expert is indeligibly associated with a great cup of coffee –the panacea for all neighborhood problems. She let us about “mountain grown coffee” Many of us still buy Folgers in its 9 families of coffee. They have kept up with the times and now offer Coffee Pods for one cup coffee systems like the HomeCafe, HomeCafe, instant cappuccino powder, Singles (a tea bag like single serve blend), a line of flavored coffees, instants, and the Classic Red Can which may be the most well known of their coffee blends. Keeping up with current trends they have a line of Gourmet Coffee as well.
