Keurig K Cups for Keurig Single Cup Coffee Makers? Do they make coffee great?
Keurig K cups are designed for use in the Keurig single cup coffee makers and cannot be used in other machines. Each one is a patented single portion of hermetically sealed, air tight ground coffee which keeps fresh as a result.
Now we can have the taste of gourmet coffee without an espresso machine or French Press. And unlike instant coffee consumers are raving about how great it tastes, how fast it brews and the lack of mess. You just fire in the cup, turn on your machine with the press of a button to get home brewed coffee that tastes as good as coffee shop coffee. They are not for the aficionado who likes to try every new organic, shade grown Peabody coffee bean which they lovingly grind with a top quality burr grinder before adding water to a French Press, top quality expresso machine or filter drip. They do however keep your coffee fresh in the K-cup from air, moisture and light all of which can render fresh coffee stale very quickly – perhaps even before you buy the beans. And there is a pretty good variety as there are more than 100 varieties available in blends such as Light, Medium, Dark, Extra Bold, Flavored, Decaffeinated, Half-Caffeinated, Fair Trade, Organic and Kona from Costa Rica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Colombia, Brazil, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Sumatra. I had my first cup in my room at a fancy hotel in Arizona at a sales convention and was impressed by the taste as well as the speed of the machine. In fact, so impressed I bought one! It rules our roost for quick coffee but I still use my French Press to my wife's chagrin as the Press does create a bit of a mess on the kitchen counter sometimes.
K-cup coffee is here to stay. You can also get tea and cocoa!
